CRR has been made possible by a generous donation from the Gene Watson Estate. We are currenlty applying for our 501c3 designation and hope to have it in the late spring of 2008. Once we receive our official non-profit designation, all donations prior to that date will be retroactively tax deductible.
Cane River Repertory projects a revenue breakdown that parallels nationally profiled theatre's with budgets of less than $500,000 of which earned income financed 36% of total expenses and contributed income financed 64% of total expenses. Because of our unique geographic location, access to corporate and foundation funding will be limited which means CRR will be relying more on the individual patron to fill the unearned income gap. Especially in our first years of operation as we build a solid production history, we will depend upon the community to support the theatre's efforts through ticket sales and individual donations.
